Kansas-Nebraska Team Service Trip
November 30 – December 2

Sponsored by the Kansas-Nebraska Region and the Regional Alumni Association

Team Application / St. Jude Marathon Agenda / www.stjude.org

Our Mission is to provide a service-leadership opportunity to members, alumni, and advisors of Phi Theta Kappa at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s largest fundraiser of the year through fundraising, volunteering, and running for a reason.

St. Jude Logo

The bus trip will include approximately two meals, travel from Coffeyville to Memphis and back, hotel accommodations in Memphis, and a Kansas-Nebraska PTK TEAM shirt.

2018 Fees (Application due November 9th)
  • EVERYONE pays a $50 non-refundable application deposit to secure bus seat/hotel room as space is limited. This will be applied to your total balance due.
  • $250 is the cost for the trip (includes the $50 deposit). A special discount was offered to those who attended Region Convention in March of $200.
  • If you or your chapter is traveling separately to Memphis but still would like a shirt and hotel accommodations, the cost is $150 (the main cost of this trip is the hotel as it is VERY expensive to stay downtown during this weekend).
Race Registration:
  • All runners and walkers need to register for their races through the stjudemarathon.org website. KAN-NEB PTK Team doesn’t register anyone for race with the trip registration.
  • All runners need to sign up to be St. Jude’s Heroes when they sign up. We will work to get volunteers as Heroes as a group.
  • All races open up May 1st for those willing to donate $500. Other entries can be done starting June 1st. Half-marathon fills up FAST!
What is expected of each participant:

Service/Leadership:

  • Volunteers – prepare, work, and clean up the aid station. Meet up with 5K and 10K finishers in AutoZone Park for group pictures and plans. Make sure to make it to AutoZone Park for the long distance runners finish between 10:00p.m.-12:00p.m.
  • 5K and 10K Runners: run your race, meet up with volunteers for group picture and plans. Return to race route to cheer on long distance runners. Make sure to make it to AutoZone Park for the long distance runners’ finish between 10:00p.m.-12:00p.m.
